Big Cheeks, No Smile

Skirt: self made, Shoes: Payless, Jacket: Korea, Black shirt, Black tights, Assorted bracelets.

Things to learn from the past 10 days:

1) Adam Lambert touched himself too much last Tuesday.
2) Knowing had one of the worst endings I've ever seen. Ever. Creepy whisper people were scary.
3) One boy actually called dress-down days at school "Elisa (last name) day" Erm...?
4) Weardrobe accounts are laughably easy to make. I made one for the sake of entering the polka-dot contest - opportune timing. Fingers crossed?
5) Big skirts make for big conversation at school.
BY THE WAY,
from the last post, I wanted to pass for 13 so I could get a cheaper ticket! Just to clear things up...I'm 14, by the way. :)
I had lots and lots of fun making this skirt! It just keeps getting easier, and so much more fun each time. I broke 3 needles in the process on the machine because it was so thick. Whoops.
Have a good week!
BY THE WAY # 2,
I get some questions in comments, and I'm not entirely sure where or when to answer them, so if you'd like some questions answered in a Q&A post, please post some!

umm...1993?

Skirt: handmade, Shoes: Aldo, Lace cardigan: hand-me-down, Necklace: H&M

Note:

When trying to pass for a 13 year old at a movie theatre,

a) don't wear heels

b) don't wear lace

c) when asked for ID don't look at him like you're crazy

d) when asked for your birthday, do NOT say 1993

e) just don't try to pass for a 13 year old at a movie theatre.

Also, I need better jewelrey. I've decided that I can make clothes, and need only spend money on accessories...and apparently adult movie tickets.
P.S.
THANK YOU FOR THE BLOGGERS THAT AWARDED ME WITH AWARDS. I HAVE TO GO FIND THEM NOW.
OKAY. BYE.

Your Hands Are Cold

SORRY SORRY SORRY SORRY for lack of posting. I went to New York last weekend and did not get a chance to do a Valentines Day post and the week was horribly busy.
Also, people at school may start to find out about this blog, which is generally alright with me...it's the same thing as wearing clothes to school basically. It was just a little upsetting to find out how they found out. (Note: It also did not help that my last post featured a picture of me being the most "child molester-esque" that I (or anyone else) could possibly be). In any case, I will survive.
Here are some of my favourites from New York!

Haha, my sister and I in the Lincoln Tunnel. We were quite inspired by that creeper scene in Charlie in the Chocolate Factory...

And to make up for the Valentine's day post (which Ana and Ella did SO INCREDIBLY WELL AND I AM THEREFORE SO UPSET THAT I COULDN'T DO ONE TOO)...:

And finally, there were these tiny tiny tiny (half the length of your knuckle to tip of finger) animals made of class at the Corning Museum of Glass. $4. Also "a waste of $4" apparently.

Today was a great day.

OH my golly gumdrops....

10 things to learn this week:
1) Push was amazing.
2) Slumdog Millionaire was amazing to the 5th power.
3) MixedEthnicities kid from here is not actually mixed. He is FULL Italian. It came as a major, life-changing shock. ***note: still equally swoon-worthy.
4) I learned how to make pictures bigger (via photobucket)
5) Bangs, though distracting, are bombbbbb. I love them; have not had them blunt for a while. Well, since here, actually...
6) Bangs also make friendly-intended photos look morbid. My apologies.
7) The worst of friends will wrestle you for $3.50 in an aisle at Chapters. The same friends will also come with you to a life-changing (this time LITERALLY life-changing) Church youth group meeting.
8) Frye boots are surprisingly durable. And gorgeous.
9) Homemade prosciutto is incredible.
10) 90% of my recommended daily sodium intake came from a cup noodle. Dear Lord.

Adventures in Solitude

Thank you all for such encouraging comments, but I'm sorry I didn't make myself clear! I certainly did not mean to imply that I took the negative comments so badly, only that I'd forgotten how often they'd come around! Some people that are normally decent towards me (in school uniform) completely ignored me or acted somewhat uncivil. Admittedly, that part hurt. But other than that, "constructive criticism" is only constructive if you see it that way, right?

All through this week I kept feeling nothing but the longing to be alone. Of course it was at these exact times when I was in the mood of not wanting to talk to anyone that my best friends would call or ask to eat lunch together. Thankfully, they kept pissing me off because then I certainly wouldn't know who my true friends are; who wants to hang out with someone as pissy as me?
So, I realized that a good day with my friends was all that I needed to get me back to my chatty, friendly (though they would most definitely disagree) self!

I must warn you now that the pictures you are about to see are incredible in so many ways and made me feel happy in the first time in forever. Maybe it was because we did this "shoot" right after our last exam?

I pray that you see some wonder in these pictures...
INTRODUCEEEENG:
Kassia, Tara, Elisa
Kassia looks like she shit her pants. But, you know, whatever.

I don't even know why they insisted on this picture. It looks like Kassia is a crippled dog and Tara is going to consume her...??!

VELL LADIES, ZAT VAZ FUN. VEE DO AGAIN SOMETIMES, YES?

I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as we did! My friends are way too gorgeous and way too willing to model for me :)

HAVE AN AMAZING WEEK!!!!! <33333

p.s.

When Ana named her camera, I realized that I had not yet done so! His name is Pedro. Pictures will come later.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE

p.p.s.

Any questions about the clothes in this post; feel free to ask!

What could entice you to be so uncivil?

I wore this to school the other day unknowing just how ostracized I would be. Going to a school where only a single casual day is provided a month has caused me to forget entirely how negatively people perceive what I wear! Even the shoes, the sweet, innocent shoes from my childhood were glared at. And not with jealousy if that's what you're thinking.
Be envious, by the way, that my dress cost $5.00, that way I won't be so upset that a good majority of you get to wear real clothes to school.
More posting to be done this week!
Love always ...
